About this piece
An ivory kurta worked with pastel floral chain stitch through the yoke and down the front placket, shown with matching trousers. Aari work is chain stitch worked with a hooked needle, the aari. The hook draws a continuous loop up through the cloth, which is what gives the line its raised, unbroken quality. Made in cotton blend. Kurta length approx. 44 in. Sizes XS–XXL. This is a single piece — one of one. When it sells it is gone, and nothing identical replaces it, because no two worked pieces come out the same. Prices include GST. Dry clean only; store folded in cotton muslin with a cedar block, never in plastic.
