Kurtis are where aari does most of its work. The hooked chainstitch fills a yoke quickly enough to make hand embroidery viable at everyday prices, which is why an aari kurti is usually the first Kashmiri garment someone owns.

These are the pieces most likely to be available in standard sizes and ready to ship, rather than made to order. Where a kurti carries sozni rather than aari, expect the price and the lead time to move accordingly — the stitch is finer and slower.
