A Kashmiri saree is unusual in the Indian saree landscape because the decoration is more often built into the weave or worked with a needle than printed or block-stamped. A kani saree in particular is twill tapestry across its full length — a technique that takes months and produces a pattern identical on both faces.

What that means practically: these are not sarees that reward a quick comparison on price per metre. The variables that matter are technique, coverage, and fibre — a border-only piece and a full-jaal piece can differ by an order of magnitude in loom time while looking superficially similar in a photograph.

Most pieces here exist once. Where a saree is made to order, the dispatch date reflects real production time and is shown before the cart, not after it.
