About this piece
An undyed ivory ground with blue paisley and floral sprigs placed across the field, the border worked more densely than the body. Sozni is fine needle embroidery worked in floss silk, stitch by stitch, so the motif sits almost flat against the ground cloth. Worked well, the face and the reverse read almost alike. Made in silk. 5.5 m saree with an 0.8 m blouse piece. This is a single piece — one of one. When it sells it is gone, and nothing identical replaces it, because no two worked pieces come out the same. Prices include GST. Dry clean only; store folded in cotton muslin with a cedar block, never in plastic.
