About this piece
An ivory kaftan with gold metal-thread work at the neckline and down the centre front, cut loose to the ankle. Tilla is metal-wrapped thread laid along the surface of the cloth and couched down with fine stitches. The metal thread itself never passes through the ground fabric. Made in georgette. Free size, length approx. 54 in. This is a single piece — one of one. When it sells it is gone, and nothing identical replaces it, because no two worked pieces come out the same. Prices include GST. Dry clean only; store folded in cotton muslin with a cedar block, never in plastic.
